Luis tells us a true story from the Bible about Paul and Silas. They were in jail, but even then they sang and praised Jesus with joy. They knew no matter where they were, Jesus was still their friend forever and He helped them choose joy. In the beginning, God showed love by creating the entire world, including people. God created us with the ability to make our own choices—and because of Adam and Eve’s choice, they shattered their perfect friendship with God. But God had a plan. God loved us enough to send Jesus to be our Savior. Now we can “make waves” by loving others because we’ve experienced God’s love for ourselves.
